Diamond Pedals F-Octave Pedal
The F-Octave is back—vintage soul with a snarling edge.
Originally launched in 2017, the F-Octave returns to the lineup with its signature high-gain silicon fuzz, crafted in tribute to the legendary Foxx Tone Machine. First heard in the early '70s, that iconic pedal earned its place in the fuzz hall of fame with its biting saturation, chewy sustain, and unmistakable octave-up grind. The F-Octave picks up where that legacy left off—delivering raw, expressive tones with a character all its own.
At its heart is a finely tuned, discrete analog fuzz circuit designed for rich harmonic content and dynamic response. The layout is simple and intuitive, staying true to the spirit of classic stompboxes, but with added flexibility to shape your sound. Engage the octave mode to unlock searing, upper-register harmonics that cut through any mix with vintage attitude and synth-like texture. Switch it off, and you're greeted with a warm, fat fuzz—full of wooly midrange and smooth compression, perfect for leads, chords, or riff-driven grooves.
This is fuzz the way it used to be: bold, unpredictable, and endlessly fun. Plug in, switch on the octave, and rediscover why fuzz never went out of style.
A Fuzz For Any Rig
The F-Octave plays beautifully with both guitar and bass, making it a versatile tool whether you're chasing stoner rock saturation, garage grit, or classic psych tones. Roll your volume back and explore everything from sputtery breakup to thick sustain. Crank it, and it howls.
Octaves And Overtones
The F-Octave's octave-up effect shines with single notes, delivering killer tones that cut through—especially above the 12th fret. Break new ground by using it for heavy chording, creating gnarly random overtones as the octave circuit searches for the root note. Double-stop bends produce a twisted multi-octave sound, with the high octave climbing while a subtle sub-octave slowly drops in pitch. Switch off the octave for a more straightforward fuzz.
Fine Tune Your Fuzz
Take charge of your fuzz with the LPF and TONE knobs, designed to shape your sound and highlight the upper octave. Start with the LPF fully clockwise and the TONE at noon for a balanced foundation. From there, tweak the TONE to emphasize your ideal frequency—counterclockwise for warmer or darker tones, clockwise for a brighter fuzz—and adjust the LPF to smooth out and refine your tone to perfection.
